Selection Process

  • Candidates appearing for the Stage 1 written test must be aware of the exam pattern. The test will be an OMR-based objective type examination with a total of 120 marks and a duration of two hours.
  • Part A (100 Marks)
  • Subject Marks
  • General English 50 Marks
  • General Knowledge including Computer Knowledge 30 Marks
  • General Aptitude 20 Marks
  • Part B (20 Marks – Qualifying)
  • Official language of the state of Assam (Assamese) (20 marks). Candidates must score a minimum of 40% (i.e., 8 marks) in this part. The marks from this section will not be counted for the merit list.
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of one-fourth (0.25) marks for every incorrect answer.
